An 18-year-old man was arrested and charged following a”disturbance” in Edinburgh city centre last night, Saturday, 28 February 2026,
The incident took place around 10.30pm on George Street.
Police received reports of a “disturbance” in the area officers were sent to the scene.
The teenager was arrested in connection with assault, according to the force.
In addition, police said that two male youths were also charged in connection with the incident and will be reported to relevant authorities.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.30pm on Saturday, 28 February, 2026, we received a report of a disturbance on George Street, Edinburgh.
“Officers attended and an 18-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with assault. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
“Two male youths were also charged in connection with the disturbance. They will be reported to the relevant authorities.”
