Taylor Wimpey East Scotland has confirmed its continued support as the main sponsor of Dunbar Rugby Club’s annual Minis Tournament for a record 14th year – marking the longest-running community sponsorship by the homebuilder in the East Scotland region.
This year’s event will take place at Hallhill Healthy Living Centre in Dunbar on Sunday, 3 May and is
expected to welcome around 400 young players from P3 to P7 across East Lothian, the Borders, and
Edinburgh. Supporting the Dunbar Minis Rugby Tournament remains an important way for Taylor Wimpey
East Scotland to reinforce its commitment to the local community.
Kirsty McGill, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey East Scotland, said: “We’re incredibly
proud to continue our long-standing support of the Dunbar Minis Tournament. It’s a fantastic event that
brings together hundreds of young players to enjoy a brilliant day of rugby, teamwork and community spirit.
“Our connection with Dunbar runs deep through our previous developments and our ongoing investment in
the area, including our Belhaven Way development. It’s always inspiring to see how strongly the local
community supports this tournament, and we’re delighted to play a part in helping it thrive year after year.”
Neil MacPherson, Dunbar Rugby Club’s Minis Co-ordinator, added: “We’re thrilled to welcome Taylor
Wimpey East Scotland back as our main sponsor for the 14th consecutive year. Their continued support
allows us to deliver a high-quality, inclusive event that attracts teams and families from across the region.
“Our tournament remains the only minis rugby event where every player receives a participation medal, and
Taylor Wimpey’s backing helps us maintain this important tradition. It reinforces our belief that taking part,
having fun and staying active are what matter most.”
