Two rising stars of Craigmillar Boxing Club have enhanced their reputations in the ring.
Bowing out of the youth ranks, Liam Flynn did so in style by travelling to Fort William and outpointing twice GB champion, Connor Bodkin.
According to Craigmillar club trainer Kenny McCartney one of the most pleasing aspects was the way a home crowd appreciated his boxer’s talents which have taken him to 31 wins from 32 contests.
Ravenscraig Sports Centre was the venue for Hayden Sutherland to claim the Scottish Development Championship at intermediate (70kgs) level.
Meanwhile, following successful reciprocal training sessions with a group of Polish boxers the Craigmillar club are now planning to attend an international training camp in Germany in August.
