A Fife-based professional foodservice company is capitalising on recent growth by taking its innovative range of dessert and bakery equipment to some of the UK’s most prestigious trade shows this spring.

Sephra, headquartered in Kirkcaldy supplies hospitality businesses in Edinburgh and the Lothians, and has recorded 77% growth in the UK market over the past two years. The company is now targeting further expansion by attending a series of key industry events alongside its distribution division, CFW.co.uk, both operating under the Sephra Europe Ltd umbrella.

The brand is perhaps best known for its chocolate taps and fountains, but its product range extends to donut and waffle makers alongside a comprehensive catalogue of consumables through CFW.co.uk. With more than 1,200 products on offer – including signature chocolate ranges, bakery mixes, sauces, and confectionery such as marshmallows, fudge, and honeycomb – the distribution arm positions itself as a one-stop shop for the industry. It works with names including Dawn Foods, Lotus, Nutella, Cadbury, and Krampouz, and also offers packaging solutions with a custom printing option.

The spring trade show season got underway at Birmingham’s NEC, where Sephra exhibited at the Ice Cream and Artisan Food Show (ICA), the only UK trade event serving both the ice cream and artisan food markets. Sales and Business Development Manager Callum Bond said the team spoke to hundreds of visitors over the course of the show.

“A common theme was cafes, dessert parlour owners and ice cream shops wanting to expand their menu and offer their customers something different,” he said. “We had a great deal of interest in our Sephra Plus Waffle Makers, particularly the Rotational Long Waffle, which produces delicious long waffles on a stick that customers can eat on the go.”

Bond noted that the company’s chocolate taps, chocolate melters, hot chocolate machines, and sauce dispensing solutions also proved popular with visitors, many of whom were drawn to the prospect of implementing a complete business solution through a single supplier.

“Being able to implement an entire solution from one conversation is a real key advantage we can offer these businesses,” he said. “This is a big part of why we see so much value at trade shows — giving us the platform in front of customers to demonstrate entire solutions and show off their simplicity.”

Sephra and CFW.co.uk have also attended IFEX 2026 in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, as part of a packed spring calendar. The next stop is the Farm Shop and Deli Show at the NEC in Birmingham, running from 13 to 15 April alongside the UK Food and Drink Expo, where Sephra will join over 1,200 exhibitors from across the grocery, specialist retail, wholesale, and foodservice sectors.

Bond is clearly relishing the prospect. “Spring trade show season is always a very busy and exciting time – a personal favourite of mine. I particularly enjoy demonstrating our professional machinery, engaging directly with potential customers, and answering their questions. We are here to inspire them, but also to help them find products that are the right fit for their businesses.”

Looking ahead, he added: “These prestigious trade shows provide a massive kickstart to our sales and marketing each spring. They will help us build on our growth in the UK market.”
