Livingston boss David Martindale was “really, really angry” after his side lost a late goal to an Alex Gogic header which earned a point for St Mirren at The Home of the Set Fare Arena.
His men had earlier taken the lead, but Martindale (pictured) claims Livingston defender, Joshua Brenet, was fouled in the build-up to the equaliser which arrived with less than two minutes remaining.
Martindale told BBC Sport Scotland: “I’m really disappointed. There is a big foul on Joshua Brenet who is marking Alex Gogic. Gogic pulls his arm and it is Alex Gogic who scores.”
The Lions manager claims VAR should have picked that up and he added: “VAR isn’t making the game better.”
He said: “I need to stop talking about this (VAR), but what can I do? It is costing us big, big points in games.”
His counterpart, Stephen Robinson, said he had not seen the equalising goal back but he can see light at the end of the tunnel after a form slump.
He admitted: “It wasn’t our best performance, but we played like St Mirren again.”
