Hutchison Vale under-14 girls football team are celebrating the biggest win during the six years they have been together.
Captained by Caitlin Hollick, a centre back, and coached by Craig Mcintosh the girls claimed the Frankie Brown League title with a near flawless record of 15 wins and two draws from their 18 matches.
Coach Mcintosh warns though that the girls will have to be on their mettle from the off when competitive play resumes next February.
“First of all we can look forward to a trophy presentation which will give the girls some recognition for their efforts and we do still have another couple of training sessions this year.
“But next up is an under-16 league and the jump every two years in age group will make it tougher.
“However, we sat down at the outset this year and said the league title would in our sights and having done that it won’t all be about experience.
“Looking further ahead we know that some players will maybe drop out but others will continue on their football journey with a lot of potential still to be fulfilled” said Craig.
