Two police officers were injured in a crash when their patrol car left the road.pursuing a vehicle in West Lothian during the early hours of this morning Wednesday 19 November 2025.
Officers are now trying to locate the occupants of the other car.
The chase was being carried out on the A801 at Junction 4 of the M8 near Bathgate.
The vehicle being pursued was found near to the scene, but its occupants had left.
The officers were taken to hospital but later released.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.10am on Wednesday, 19 November, 2025, we received a report of a police car having come off the road following a brief pursuit on the A801 M8 Junction to Pottishaw Roundabout.
“Two officers were taken to hospital for treatment and later released. The car involved in the pursuit was traced nearby and enquiries are ongoing to identify and trace the occupants.”
