Tickets are now on sale for a Scottish cinema spectacular of the Broadway production of Merrily We Roll Along starring Daniel Radcliffe and Jonathan Groff to be released on 5 December.
Audiences are promised an immersive film of the production which was redefined for the 21st century. The story centres on Franklin Shepard, a composer, and his two lifelong friends, writer Mary and lyricist and playwright, Charlie. The show became a cult classic in New York in 1981 and features some of Stephen Sondheim’s best known songs.
The 2023-24 production at Broadway’s Hudson Theatre broke the house record. The show went on to win Tony Awards in 2024 for Best Revival of a Musical, Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical, Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Musical and Best Orchestrations.
In London the show had more five star reviews than any other in West End history and won an Olivier Award for the Best Musical Revival.
