The top two teams in the Edinburgh Churches Football Association go head to head at the Pennypit, Prestonpans, on Saturday at 10 am in the final of the League Cup.

St Mary’s take on Port Seton and are credited in an official preview as being slight favourites partly on the grounds they have won their last six matches.

Port Seton are on a similar streak but were held to a 1-1 draw by Liberton Church which means they trail their opponents by a point at the top of the table.

Both teams have scored prolifically with Gary Fairgrieve and Christopher Stevenson netting seven apiece for Port Seton.

Setting the pace for St Mary’s are Michael Collins and Tam Jamieson was four goals each.
