Another weekend and another zero return for Fife Flyers but they made high-flying Cardiff Devils work hard for their 5-0 victory in the Principality, only shipping two goals in the opening 40 minutes.
However, the home side turned on the power against tiring legs in the final stanza to win it 3-0.
Earlier, Shane Owen started between the pipes for injury-hit Fife and it took the home side 14min 05sec to break through, Kristoff Kontos doing the damage.
And it was not until 36min 09sec that the Welsh side made it 2-0, Joey Martin netting.
No 3 arrived 1min 49sec into the final session when Kohen Olischefski scored and the same player added another with the clock on 48min 37sec.
Injury-hit Fife held out until 57min 20sec when Tyson Helgesen scored the final goal on a night in which the Scots were outshot 44-17 in front of a crowd of over 3,100.
Devils remain third in the table while Fife remain marooned in bottom spot with one point from 14 games and with a goals for of 16 and goals against now 64.
