Teenage Edinburgh kick boxer Freya Drever has added European championship gold in both individual and team events to global success a year ago.

The 13-year-old Broughton HS student travelled to Italy as part of team GB and triumphed in the “older cadet” 13-15 year old category winning all four bouts.
For good measure Freya was part of an all Scottish team GB featuring Longstone’s Eilidh Moorehead and two fighters from Glasgow.
Mum Hollie recalled how extra commitment to training had been required with Freya;s Wolfpack club re-locating from Granton to Livingston.
“We are now commuting five days a week to Livingston” says Hollie whose son Aaron – Freya’s twin – also competes at international level.
“Freya qualified by winning the British Championship in Nottingham last February and made the most of her opportunity in Italy where competing nations included Hungary, Austria and Germany.”
The final competition of the domestic kick boxing season takes place in Bristol later this month and Hollie will be hoping to add to her laurels having finished top of the podium in each of the past three years.
