A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital after a crash on Regent Road.
Around 3pm yesterday, Wednesday October 29 2025, emergency services were alerted to the collision which involved the motorbike and the driver of a van who was not injured.
The motorcyclist was taken to Edinburgh’s Royal Infirmary for treatment.
The road was closed and a number of Lothian buses were diverted following the incident with heavy congestion reported in the Leith Street area.
Officers said that their enquiries into the crash are ongoing.
A police spokesperson said: “Around 3.10pm on Wednesday, 29 October, 2025 we were called to Regent Road in Edinburgh after a report of a crash involving a motorbike and a van.
“The rider of the motorbike was taken to hospital for treatment. The driver of the van was not injured and enquiries are ongoing.”
