Lawrence Shankland sent a message to Jambos fans on the eve of their trip to Ibrox and said: “We want to go there and win.”
The skipper (pictured) was talking at the media briefing and he added: “A win would breed confidence.”
He acknowledged that some of the new recruits would be facing an Ibrox experience for the first time but said: “It is up to us as experienced boys in the changing room to support them, whether that be before the match or on the pitch.
“When you go through to Glasgow you always need to be on our game, but I believe we are capable. We’re in a good position to go into any game so we can look forward to it.”
So, far Hearts are unbeaten and Shankland said: “It is obviously early days, and we need to keep building on that, but the training has been good, everybody is enjoying it and there is a good feeling about the boys.
“Obviously, there have been some tough moments, we’ve had to claw ourselves back into games and win them that way.
“We’ve shown good character. All in all, we have been winning games and picking up points and that is the most important thing.”
