Police have issued advice to the public following a recent notable increase in vehicle-related crime in the following areas, – Clerwood / Drumbrae, Mortonhall / Liberton / Gracemount and North Gyle Loan / Craigmount Loan / Glenlee Gardens.
A police spokesperson said: “Offenders are targeting unlocked vehicles and stealing items left inside.
“Please help us reduce opportunities for crime:
“Always lock your vehicle, even if unattended for a short time
“Remove all valuables, including bags, sat navs and loose change
“Park in well-lit areas where possible
“Report any suspicious activity to us immediately
