Heriot’s will aim to become the first side to win back-to-back Scottish cricket grand finals when the newly crowned East champions tackle West counterparts, Clydesdale, at Carlton’s Grange Loan ground on Saturday (September 6), starting at 11am.
In a repeat of last year’s final Heriot’s will be aiming to retain the Willie Morton Trophy named in memory of a former Scotland and Warwickshire all rounder who sadly died a few years ago.

However, Heriot’s will have to overcome any hangover from a surprise Scottish Cup final defeat by the same Clydesdale opponents last month.
Hiatory is on the Capital team’s side; since the match was inaugurated in 2012 only Ferguslie have taken the trophy back to the West of Scotland.
It has been a particularly good season for Heriot’s too having wrapped up the local Masterton T20 trophy followed by the national event in that cricketing genre as well as claiming the East Premiership title with a week to spare.
Heriot’s team for the Grand Final – Niall Alexander, Lloyd Brown, Ryan Brown, Charles Cassell, Joe Kinghorn-Gray, Gavin Main, Vian Maritz, Adrian Neill, Peter Ross, Jared Rubly, Douglas Voas.
