Granton Marina planning consultation

There are two consultation events coming up related to the developments at Granton now called Boardwalk. The first is on 17 April at Granton Station from 2pm to 7pm and the second is on 7 May at West Hall Granton Parish Church 55 Boswell Parkway EH5 2DA also from 2 to 7pm.

These relate to the major development at Granton Marina which has previously been refused. The developer has now reconsidered their plans and has submitted plans for The Boardwalk through their architects Wilson+Gunn comprising 81 homes and commercial space. Plans were originally lodged for the two residential plots with revised road layout between the marina and the hotel.

Plans were then submitted for 81 homes and commercial space in December 2021 but planners recommended refusal in January 2023. An unsuccessful appeal followed last summer and this is now a new Proposal of Application Notice (PAN) – apparently for one plot only number 35a. A website will go live from 17 April with more details – www.wga.ltd/plot35a
