Hamish and Harriet Barbour were married on Friday on the isle of Fidra in the Firth of Forth.

Hamish is Helm on the RNLI North Berwick lifeboat and the appropriate way of getting to the ceremony could only be by boat.

The ceremony was conducted by East Lothian celebrant Claire Watt, and the wedding reception is being held at Whitekirk Hill.

The newlyweds appear to have dodged some of the downpours which hit Edinburgh today and The Edinburgh Reporter wishes them much happiness together.

North Berwick Lifeboat Station operates a D class lifeboat from a historic boathouse and serving the east of Scotland coastline renowned for islands and beaches. This year the RNLI celebrates its 200th anniversary.
