Developers of Glenfarg Apartments are holding an open house event when they will also be celebrating Scottish artisan products.
At the apartments set in the village of Glenfarg in Perth & Kinross, there will be a free to attend celebration of artisan producers on Sunday 4 February between 1pm and 5pm to entertain prospective buyers.
Themed “Indulgence for Valentine’s Day” one of the artisan offerings will be from chocolatier and pastry chef, Jack Coghill, of Jack O’Bryan’s Bar & Kitchen in Dunfermline. Jack will demonstrate his skilful chocolate decorating techniques, and will provide his audience with plenty of opportunities to sample his delicious creations.
Other producers taking part include Cairn O’ Mohr Winery who will showcase their ranges of wine, cider and beer, Cloverlea Apiaries, who will offer sampling of their local honey, and the New Lanark Spinning Company who will be selling their quality woollen yarns for knitting, along with other food and drink products such as traditional tablet and gin. Artistic steel work from creative blacksmith, Fine Iron Design, will also be on display.
Glenfarg Homes Director, David Craigie said; “We’d like to thank all the exhibitors for getting involved in this event on Sunday 4th February. We are confident that as well as providing plenty of luxury and indulgent gifting ideas for Valentine’s Day, the event is a novel way of supporting many excellent businesses who take great pride in what they do. We hope it will be well attended by local people, and, indeed, anyone interested in our development.”
“There’s lots of amazing products available for sale on the stalls where you can pick up inspiration and ideas.
“You can also sample Jack’s amazing chocolates, He’s a very talented young man who is fast making a name for himself in the chocolate and pastry world. We are all really looking forward to watching his chocolate showcase.
“We also think that positioning various producers stalls in the kitchens of our new show apartments is a far more interesting and exciting way to launch them to market.”
The target market for Glenfarg’s homes are couples aged 50 plus. David explained: “They are looking for a lifestyle change. They’ll have more time on their hands to enjoy life, living in our easier – and cheaper – to maintain energy efficient apartments.
“We want to show them that this is such a well situated development in terms of close proximity to fantastic food and leisure opportunities, plus the motorway network of central Scotland. It’s a really vibrant area, with Fife and Edinburgh also easily accessible.
