Braid Road should be reopened by now three years after it was first closed as part of the Covid related Spaces for People measures.

Edinburgh Garden Partners

Edinburgh Garden Partners say they will be looking for a new volunteering development coordinator in the New Year as Greta who made up half of the team has just left to go on a big adventure. The organisation links those with gardens which are too big for them to manage with people who want a space to grow their own vegetables and flowers.

On New Year’s Day

New defibrillator

Ideal Electrical Solutions (IES) has installed a new defibrillator outside their office at 4-5 Parsons Green Terrace EH8 7AN as a way of saying thank you to their neighbourhood.

IES said: “This new ‘iPad SPR Semi Auto AED’ defibrillator is available 24/7, ready to assist in any cardiac emergency.  In case of an emergency all you need to do is call 999 or 112 and tell the emergency call handler the code displayed on the front of the defibrillator.”
