The Wolseley UK Fife Flyers have confirmed that veteran Czech centre ice Jan Kloz is joining the club on a one month trial.

Kloz (picture courtesy of Fife Flyers and H C Vsetin), is 5ft 9in tall and joins the Kirkcaldy club having iced more than 700 times in both the Czech Premier League and in the Second Division.

He has collected 425 regular season goals and assists during that time and the 35-year-old has been part of teams which have won the Czech Second Division twice.

He was the top goal scorer in the Czech Second Division in 2016/17 and Jeff Hutchins, Flyers’ associate coach, said: “He is an experienced player and has iced at the highest level in the Czech Republic.

“He skates well and, for a smaller guy, he is pretty physical and he certainly knows where the back of the net is.

“We will be looking for him to feature in the special teams whilst we have guys out and he joins us on a one-month trial. And at the end of that period we will assess what we want to do.”
