I was councillor for Colinton Ward from 2004 – 2007 and councillor for Colinton/Fairmilehead Ward from 2007 to date.

Chair of Edinburgh International Jazz and Blues Festival
Chair of Oxgangs Neighbourhood Centre SCIO
Chair of Edinburgh Conservatives Council Group
Bailie of the City of Edinburgh deputising for the Lord Provost
Latterly I have served on the Education, Children and Families Committee and the Lothians Joint Valuation Board
Our key pledges include removal of Spaces for People schemes unless there is clear evidence of community support, protecting our greenbelt and open spaces, scrapping the garden tax, getting our potholes fixed with more investment in our roads and pavements for all, to champion better bus services and clean up our city – so no more overflowing waste bins etc.
My key criticism of the current SNP/Labour administration is that it has not been focused on delivery of the basic services but too focused on grand citywide schemes that ignore the distinct needs and character of the communities that make up our great city. This has been a council which does not listen.
