A 41-year-old man has been charged in connection with the theft of a vial of vaccine from the Edinburgh International Conference Centre.

The alleged incident took place around 11.50am on Saturday, March 20.

An investigation was launched and officers issued a public appeal in a bid for information.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers investigating the theft of a vial of Covid-19 vaccine in Edinburgh have charged a 41-year-old man.

“A report is to be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

“We want to thank you for your assistance with our appeal for information on this investigation.”
