Police are appealing for the public’s help in tracing Graeme Smith who has been reported missing from his home in the city.

The 49-year-old was reported missing from his home in the Albion Terrace area of Edinburgh around 8.15pm on Wednesday, 22 July.

He may have travelled to the Dunbar area in East Lothian and also has links to the Leith area of the city. He may have access to a tent and could be sleeping rough.

Inspector David Hughes of Craigmillar Police Station said: “Graeme has been reported missing by his family and we have significant concerns for his welfare.

“I would urge anyone who believes they may have seen him or who has any information at all to come forward as soon as possible.

“Any information can be passed to police by calling 101, quoting incident 3220 of 22 July.”

Graeme is described as being white, 5ft 10in tall and of stocky build. He has short black hair, often shaved, and facial stubble.

He habitually wears a grey/blue Barbour jacket and carries a black Diesel shoulder bag.
