Police are investigating after a number of vehicles were vandalised between 5pm and 9pm on Tuesday 31 October in the Connaught Place and Gosford Place areas.

Officers are keen to trace those responsible and are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incidents taking place to come forward.

Chief Inspector Kevin McLean, Area Commander for North East Edinburgh said: “In the lead up to Bonfire night and over Halloween we have had increased patrols in the area.

“Enquiries are ongoing to attempt to identify those responsible for these vandalisms.

“I would ask anyone who saw these incidents taking place, or who knows who is responsible, to get in touch with us as soon as possible. We are also interested in hearing from anyone with private CCTV in the area.”

Anyone with information can contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 4160 of 31 October, or make an anonymous report through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
