Jason Easton admitted he went to war to outpoint Belgian fighter Steve Jamoye to win the IBO Inter-Contential super lightweight title at Braehead Arena in Glasgow in July.

And the Edinburgh-based fighter expects another battle when he squares-up to Josef Zahradnik at the Royal Highland Centre at Ingliston on Saturday.

The 26-year-old puts his nine-fight winning run and his coveted belt on the line in the contest which is one of the chief support bouts on Risk v Reward.

The headline fight is Prestonpans boxer Josh Taylor against former world title holder Miguel Vazquez from Mexico.

Easton has trained hard and is determined to test himself against the best and move up the rankings.

He’s not the only fighter with big ambitious. Bantam Lee McGregor from Edinburgh makes his professional debut after starring as an amateur.

Both Easton and McGregor are in Barry McGuigan’s Cyclone stable and the former world title holder has high hopes for his Capital duo.

Cyclone stablemate Martin Bakole faces his first title fight against Belgium’s undefeated Ali Baghouz for the vacant IBO Continental heavyweight championship.

Northampton’s unbeaten prospect Chantelle Cameron continues her rapid rise when she squares-up to Mexico’s Edith Ramos. The vacant IBO Inter-Continental super featherweight title is at stake here.

Cruiserweight prospect Chris Billam-Smith faces Czech warrior Jan Hrazdira in a four-round contest and Haddington’s popular middleweight Iain Trotter boxes a Polish fighter over four rounds.

A reminder that the doors open at 5pm on Saturday.
