Hearts have signed goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin on a one-year-deal.

The former Burton Albion and Bradford City goalkeeper has enjoyed a decent career in England, having come on as a substitute in the League Cup final for Bradford in 2013 before winning the League Two play-off final later that season.

The Edinburgh born keeper then moved to Burton Albion and helped them gain promotion to the English Championship.
The 29-year-old told the official Hearts website:

“I’m really pleased and obviously really looking forward to signing for a massive club like this.

“It’s my home town so it’s a fantastic feeling and it’s been great to be training with the lads for a few days, and I’m now just looking forward to getting on with the serious work.”
