Christine Jardine is the Scottish Liberal Democrat candidate in Edinburgh West where there appears to be a contest between SNP and the LibDems who are fighting to take the seat back.

In 2015 the seat was wrestled from the grasp of Mike Crockart who had been the MP for only one term with a majority of 3210 votes.

But the LibDems see this as their territory.  They secured the Scottish Parliamentary seat with Alex Cole-Hamilton with a majority of 2960 over the incumbent SNP MSP, Colin Keir and now think they can do the same with Christine Jardine.

Ms Jardine stood in the Westminster elections in 2015 against Alex Salmond in the northeastern constituency of Gordon.

We met her in the offices of mental health charity Health in Mind and took the opportunity to find out more about her and her campaign.
