Hearts have won their appeal against the yellow card given to striker Tony Watt during last Saturday’s Ladbrokes Premiership game with Hamilton Academical at Tynecastle.

Referee Craig Thomson booked Watt for ‘simulation’ – diving in other words – after the former Celtic player went down inside the penalty box in the first half. Television replays showed there was contact from the Accies defender although Watt did go down somewhat theatrically.

Hearts Director of Football Craig Levein attended the meeting at Hampden on Thursday morning and the caution has now been removed.

Meanwhile, Hearts have announced they will play East Fife in a friendly at Methil on Thursday, 6th October.
