Scottish Greens To Publish Manifesto For Bolder Holyrood

Later today the Scottish Greens will  publish an election manifesto to “meet the challenges of today”, pledging to deliver a bolder Holyrood and a better Scotland.

With opinion polls suggesting Green MSPs will be elected from across the eight parliamentary regions, and the party enjoying a membership surge to over 9,000, the Scottish Greens aim to tap into a public appetite for bolder action on issues such as:

-The decline in North Sea jobs
-Poor pay in social care
-The housing crisis
-The threat from fracking

A spokesperson for the Scottish Greens said:

“As serious questions are asked about Labour’s PFI/PPP legacy, the Scottish Greens’ manifesto will demonstrate the importance of investing in public services rather than cutting corners. And as public anger grows over the latest tax-dodging revelations, we will show how our commitment to real land reform can ensure Scotland leads the way.

“Our progressive policies will reduce inequality and raise extra funds to improve the education, health and social care that we all need.

“Our manifesto will underline the strong track record we have in parliament and in communities across the country. Our belief is that Scotland can be better, with lasting jobs, opportunities for young people, and good homes for all. Our manifesto is full of the kind of fresh ideas that are needed to meet the challenges of today.”
