The City of Edinburgh Council has issued an update on arrangements for pupils affected by the closure of 17 PFI schools across the city.

From tomorrow the pupils at Oxgangs Primary School will be back in class, albeit not in their own school building.

They are asked to meet their class teacher on the Astroturf pitch at the normal time in the morning and they will be either transported by bus or on foot to the alternative school where they will attend classes.

Children who attend St Peter’s RC Primary are asked to return to school tomorrow morning (Wednesday 13 April) and they will be transported to their alternative destinations. Free lunches will be provided.

Full details for St Peter’s Primary School are here.

The Edinburgh Reporter spoke to the Chief Executive earlier after the council’s Corporate Policy and Strategy Committee which heard an emergency motion about the matter.
