2011_10 Police signs 6

Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision on Murrayburn Road last night  which left one of the drivers with serious injuries.

The collision occurred at the junction between Murrayburn Road and Dumbryden Drive around 18.45 pm between a silver Ford Fusion and a white Vauxhall Mokka

The 20 year old driver of the Ford Fusion is receiving treatment in the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and is in a serious condition.

Officers are now urging anyone with information that can assist with their inquiries to get in touch.

Sergeant Andrew Gibb of the Road Policing Unit said : ‘This collision has left a young man with serious injuries and we are keen to speak to anyone who saw the collision or who has information that can assist us with our inquiries.

‘Anyone with information can contact officers by calling 101.’
