Earlier this morning Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were called to wasteland just behind the Thistle Foundation in Craigmillar where a car was on fire. Scroll down for more photos.
The Edinburgh Reporter spotted the smoke and was in place to take exclusive photos and video just ahead of the fire appliance and three firefighters arriving.

A small explosive sound appeared to be caused by one of the tyres exploding. It is speculated that the car may well have been stolen and then set alight but there is no official confirmation of that. We have deliberately left the number plate visible so if this is your car perhaps you will contact us.
