Scottish-born movie actress Louise Linton has spoken in support of beleaguered Royal, HRH Prince Andrew.

The Hollywood-based star has spent time with the Queen’s second son at a series of fundraising events in the US, most recently at a charity dinner in Beverly Hills.

Despite seeing his name being mentioned in a high-profile US court case, Louise said the prince rose above the furore and was totally focused on the good cause – a Foundation set up by Grammy Award winning artist and The Voice judge, Will.i.am.

She added “It was a lively evening and Prince Andrew was as always, very charming, polite and interesting.

“While I cannot speak directly about the serious allegations against him I can certainly say that in person, he comes across as a man of integrity, with an honourable manner.

“Certainly, throughout the evening he showed very real sensitivity and empathy for those who benefit from the charity he was there to support that evening.

“Prince Andrew is a wonderful orator, and gave an excellent speech in support of the charity – as always his conversation was highly intelligent, very eloquent, and engaging. It was a very elegant event, attended by many A list stars, musicians, and politicians.”

Recently crowned as the “one to watch in 2015”, actress Louise was among a glittering guestlist at the fundraiser for The i.am.angel Foundation.

It launched in 2009 to lead charitable activities and programs providing college scholarships, financial literacy and other help and advice to young people from troubled or underprivileged communities, like the part of East Los Angeles where Will.i.am grew up.

Louise’s burgeoning Hollywood careers has seen her take on an increasing role in the philanthropic events organised around the movie industry.

It follows a highly successful 2014 during which Edinburgh-born Louise score a series of  career advancements, not least filming of forthcoming thriller flick, Intruder, alongside music mogul Moby in his feature film debut.

The project involved Louise taking on both the lead role and producer responsibilities for the film which is the first project to be produced under her newly formed production company, Stormchaser Films.

The film has received heavyweight backing from silver screen titan, Cassian Elwes, who most famously produced The Butler and Dallas Buyers Club.

Further projects include the top secret and yet-to-be-titled Howard Hughes biopic helmed by Warren Beatty – which Hollywood watchers are predicting to be an Oscar-winning success.

In Summer 2015  Louise will feature in her first lead role in a comedy with the release of Serial Daters Anonymous, a hilarious rom-com featuring House of Cards Hunk, Sam Page as her love interest.
