At the Edinburgh Art Festival this week they are putting on Art Late on Thursday 7 August. This is what will happen on the free evening (but booking essential) :

“Art Late is a series of specially programmed late openings and events, taking in live music, performances, artist talks and tours. This year offers even more opportunities to enjoy our programme by night, as we introduce Art Late Central – a chance to take in our festival-led programme in the heart of the city.

Art Late Central includes performances from Craig Coulthard and Chris Devotion & the Expectations, and takes in work at the Old Royal High School, Trinity Apse and City Art Centre.”

Book your tickets here.

Remember that you still have time to add your views to what might happen at Saughton Park by taking part in the council’s survey launched at the beginning of Love Parks Week . You are asked what you think about the facilities and features the park has to offer.

Feedback from the survey will be analysed and used to inform the design plan for the proposed £5.3 million restoration of the park, which might restore it to its former glory.

Saughton Park is an important part of Edinburgh’s history. In 1908 it was redesigned for the Scottish National Exhibition, resulting in a range of new features, including sporting facilities, a bandstand and winter and botanical gardens.
