Man arrested – Live blogs with Lothian and Borders Police – Portobello Market –  Competitions – Rockin for Tots

An 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged sexually motivated assault that happened in Ratho on Wednesday, October 3.

He will appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday.

This Saturday is Portobello Market Day, run by local group PEDAL – Portobello Transition Town. The scheduled musical entertainment has unfortunately been cancelled, however, there are a fabulous range of stalls this week with two brand new businesses: Blossoming Gardens and Goodness Cake.

And of course, all the usual traders and a few more will be there for your shopping needs, from award winning oils, fresh fish, locally produced fresh meats, continental deli products, great fresh bread, artisan cheeses, hand-made soaps, cards & gifts, seasonal veggies, sushi & noodles, organic herbal teas, knitted crafts, Fair Trade products and a first class BBQ for all you hungry people, plus hopefully a provider of latte, cappuccino etc.
