ALLAN-MarkLothian and Borders Police are appealing for information to help trace a man who went missing from the capital.

Mark Allan, from the Grassmarket area of Edinburgh, was last seen at Waverley train Station around 3pm on Thursday 2nd September.

Since then he has failed to make contact with family or friends and concerns are now growing for his welfare.

The 40-year-old has been known to travel to the South of England, particularly Devon and Cornwall and may currently be in that area. Anyone who believes they have seen him since last Thursday is asked to contact police.

Mark is described as white, 5ft 8ins tall with a slim build, pale complexion, light brown hair and a goatee beard. He speaks with an English accent.

A police spokesman said: ‘Mark’s disappearance and subsequent failure to contact his loved ones is extremely out of character and as such, we are growing concerned for his well-being.

‘We would ask anyone who believes they may have seen him after 3pm last Thursday, either in the Edinburgh area, or around Devon and Cornwall, to come forward to police immediately.’
