You may recall we asked Lothian Buses if they were looking into providing free wifi on all of their buses. Well we got a response from them….A Lothian Buses spokesman said:-“The free wi-fi on our new Airlink buses has proved to be very popular with the passengers. Everyday more and more of them are logging on to check their emails and find out information on Edinburgh for their stay. The journey time of around 30 minutes is ideal for them to do this”

“It’s too early to tell if we will expand this facility to other bus routes but there is certainly scope to do so as we have a few commuter type bus services that would lend itself well.”

So now we suppose it is up to the commuters to lobby the bus company if they really want wifi on their routes. What do you think? Would it be of use to you on your daily commute?

Their excuse is apparently the tramworks…..but the barriers in most of EH1 have been (temporarily) removed whilst the dispute with Bilfinger Berger is resolved. Sorry Sainsburys – try again or move over and let Tesco do it…..
