bus

The Edinburgh Reporter commends you to read the open letter to Jenny Dawe in The Scotsman which invites her response to some fairly crucial questions, such as where is the extra money coming from and also why is the tram not integrated with the railways?

For example, why will there be no tram stop near Waverley which the tram could use to deposit possible rail travellers….? The number 23 bus which goes from Trinity to the other side of town was actually rerouted past Waverley for a time, because of the tram works in Princes Street. However now that the workers have deserted Princes Street for other pastures, the number 23 is back to its old route, going up The Mound…….where you could get off for Waverley but you still have a considerable walk to the station (and usually trailing bags with you).

Is there anyone out there who is doing joined up thinking about our transport systems? Then we too should be pleased to hear from you! Our email address is theedinburghreporter@gmail.com
