Each hospitality business is holding a special Christmas Market on Sunday, the 29th of November, with Pettycur Bay’s taking place in the Images Suite, between 11am and 3 pm, and The Old Manor Hotel’s been staged between 11am and 4 pm in the Hotel’s Function Suite.

Both markets, offering a wide selection of stalls, with crafts and gifts available for everybody, including jewellery, home baking & tombola, will be kicking off the two business’ festive activities.

“We’ve been holding a Christmas Market at Pettycur Bay for the past few years,” said Janet Murray, General Manager of Pettycur Bay Holiday Park.

“It’s the first event in our festive calendar, and makes everybody feel really Christmassy. We get the local community to come together and shop local from our incredible stall holders. It’s a great time to start your Christmas shopping, if you haven’t already done so. We attract many artisan makers, many of whom come back time after time, as they find this a great showcase for their products.”

“We are pleased that last year The Old Manor got in on the act themselves and decided to stage their own Christmas Market. They too were thrilled with the support they received from the local population. They are delighted to see them doing it again.”

Janet explained that, as a result of the festive market’s Tombola, Pettycur Bay Holiday Park makes a contribution to its three adopted charities, the RNLI, Guide Dogs for the Blind, and The Wolf Hirschhorn Trust. Last year £400 was donated.

She finished by saying that The Old Manor still had a few spaces left for stalls, if any local maker wished to get in touch to run a stall.

“The Old Manor would extend a warm welcome to anyone exhibiting for the first time,” she said. “Contact the Hotel on 01333 401000.”
