A London-based startup, Playskan, has launched a new online platform to help padel players quickly find and book courts in Edinburgh.

As padel continues to grow rapidly in the UK, securing court time has become a challenge. Availability is scattered across different apps and websites, with clubs using platforms such as Playtomic, Padel Mates, MATCHi, Clubspark, MyCourts and Nettla. Players often need to check several systems just to find a single slot. For regulars, this is frustrating. For newcomers, it can be a barrier to trying the sport at all.

Playskan solves this by bringing real-time availability from multiple providers into one easy-to-use view. The site is also completely free to use.

“Padel is one of the fastest-growing sports in the UK, but booking can be a frustrating process,” says Henri Happonen, co-founder of Playskan. “We built Playskan to give players one simple place to find and book courts in seconds – think Skyscanner, but for padel.”

Co-founder Sara Farzanehfar adds: “Our mission is to make padel more accessible for everyone. By helping players easily discover local clubs and compare availability, we hope to support the growth of the sport at both grassroots and competitive levels.”

The site currently covers all padel clubs in Edinburgh, including Powerleague, Craigmillar Park, and Hatton Sports Club, with plans to expand nationwide. Players can search by location, see available slots for the next 14 days, and compare clubs on factors such as pricing and accessibility.
