Police charge 14-year-old youth after damage caused to football pitch in Currie
A teenage boy has been charged following damage to a football pitch in Currie.
On Friday 21 February 2025 officers received a report of off-road motorbikes being driven in the Currie area.
Following an investigation officers have charged a 14-year-old boy with vandalism, threatening behaviour and road traffic offences.
Officers said that such behaviour would not be tolerated and a report will be submitted to the relevant authority.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Following reports of off-road motorbikes being driven in the Currie area on Friday, 21 February, and damaging a football pitch, a 14-year-old male youth has been charged in connection with vandalism, threatening behaviour and road traffic offences.
“A report will be submitted to the relevant authority.
“This kind of behaviour will not be tolerated.
“Anyone with concerns or information should call us on 101.”
