Burns specials at Campervan Brewery

Campervan are doing things differently in their celebrations of the Bard this year.

First they have organised the Big Burns Brunch which is a three course Burns “supper” for families. The menu includes options for children and live music. Burns poems will be recited and of course beer will be served. Tom Oakes and Daniel Thorpe will play trad music (what else? – they have been nominated for the Scottish Traditional Music Awards five times…). There will be an award winning piper playing and some other musicians yet to be announced. And of course there will be dancing.

Food will be provided by Stag Bites the Hog – traditional Burns supper and vegan options. The Big Burns Brunch will be on from noon to 4pm at Campervan Brewery Taproom Jane Street Leith on 25 January.

In the evening the Burns Night Trad Rave will take place at the same venue from 6pm. This is billed as an “exciting, eclectic and electric evening of epic live trad tunes for a left-field celebration of the Bard.

Tickets for both events are available through the Campervan Brewery website www.campervanbrewery.com/events
