Police respond to reports of items being thrown at buses in Gilmerton and Liberton areas

Police officers from Edinburgh’s south-east community team are investigating a number of incidents involving items being thrown at moving buses in the Gilmerton and Liberton areas. 

In response PCs Kelly and Fowler were out today with Lothian Buses and patrolled the areas most impacted  

Community Sgt Jen Macgregor said ‘These incidents are very dangerous to both the drivers and passengers onboard.  

“We do not tolerate this and are making every effort to identify those responsible. If anyone has any information regarding this, please contact 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111′
