Hibs midfielder Reuben McAllister joins Cove Rangers on loan
Hibs young midfielder Reuben McAllister has joined Cove Rangers on loan.
The 18-year-old will join up with the Scottish League One side on a short-term loan until 1 January, 2025.
McAllister made his First Team debut in August 2023, coming off the bench in the UEFA Europa Conference League qualifying round against Inter Club d’Escaldes.
Since then, the youngster has featured predominantly for the Hibs Development Squad, before spending the second half of the 2023/24 campaign on loan at Kelty Hearts.
The central midfielder made 11 appearances during his time at Kelty, helping the club to a sixth-place finish last season.
Now, Reuben will continue his development in League One, joining Paul Hartley’s Cove Rangers until January.
Hibernian FC Sporting Director, Malky Mackay commented: “This is a good opportunity for Reuben to get more senior minutes at a competitive level.
“He has played in League One before, so he knows what challenge to expect and this will be another good test of his physical development.
“Reuben is a great kid, with a fantastic attitude and we are all looking forward to following his progress closely.”
