Celebrating 40 years with a charity race night at Pettycur Bay
Pettycur Bay Holiday Park is holding a charity Race Night in its Images Suite on Friday 19 July which will be under starter’s orders at 8pm.
The date coincides with the 40th anniversary of the Wallace family first buying the Park back in 1984.
General Manager of Pettycur Bay Holiday Park, Janet Murray said:“We thought we would hold a charity race night on the same day as our official anniversary.
“We’re looking to raise a good amount for three charities we regularly support in the business – the RNLI, Guide Dogs for the Blind and the Wolf-Hirschhorn Trust. We’re looking for local businesses of all sizes, plus individuals if they’d like, to get involved as a sponsor – whether for a horse or a race. There are many slots available for sponsorship – it’s only £30 to sponsor a race or £5 to sponsor a horse. Please contact us now for more details, as this event will provide an opportunity for the community to come together and have an enjoyable night.
“The Wallace family are planning to celebrate on Thursday 18th with an extended family meal, reflecting on their 40 years of ownership. It was back in July 1984 when they bought the park between then – Dad Thomas, Mum Magdalene, and sons Tommy and Alan. Now, of course, the whole business has been in the spotlight through the TV series “Life on the Bay” which everyone was delighted to see go to a third series.
“Pettycur Bay is a place where people gather,” finished Janet. “Whether it’s getting married, having a family meal, coming in to watch one of our entertainment shows , or attending any number of scheduled events that we hold throughout the year, you are always guaranteed a warm welcome, coupled with the very best service from this four decade family business, now onto its third generation!”
