East Lothian represented in Lowlands food show

Showcasing the Larder of the Lowlands’ returns this month following a successful inaugural event last year where over 50 producers presented products to buyers from across Scotland and the UK.  

The Easterbrook Hall, Dumfries, on April 22 is the date and the event is delivered by regional food groups from Dumfries and Galloway, Lanarkshire, Ayrshire, Arran and East Lothian.

Over 50 suppliers from the honey, beer, chocolate, cheese and meat sectors plus fish, gin and pickles will be represented and buyers from retail, wholesale, foodservice and tourism are invited.

Fiona Richmond, head of Regional Food at Scotland Food & Drink said: “The Lowlands are home to some of the best quality produce on the market.

“I am constantly inspired by the individuals across Scotland that give their time to champion our sector and this event is another testament to the passion, creativity and dedication of the producers, regional food groups and ambassadors that have worked hard to elevate the standards of excellence in our industry.”
