Borke aims to track again on Friday in Glasgow
Bastian Borke escaped serious injury following a spectacular crash riding for Berwick Jewson Bandits against Edinburgh Stellar Omada Monarchs in the BSN Series.
Borke was signed during the speedway close season from Edinburgh and was hurled into the air and landed awkwardly.
The 20-year-old complained of pain in his lower back and pelvis and he was taken to the Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital at Cramlington.
Borke (pictured by Keith Hamblin and courtesy of Berwick Jewson Bandits) said: “All good, no breaks, it looks like I have stretched a muscle or something, so a couple of days to relax and we will be sweet.”
Berwick No 1 Lewis Kerr is already sidelined with a broken ankle and Bandits bosses hope Borke is available for the trip to Glasgow Tigers in the BSN Series on Friday.
