Dogs of the Week – Maisie & Dottie
Meet Dottie and Maisie, the dynamic Labrador duo.
Dottie is an 8-year-old Labrador who is as sweet as can be. She’s not just looking for a new home; she’s looking for one with her best friend, Maisie, a 9-year-old Labrador and Dottie’s loyal companion. Like Dottie, Masie is a sweetheart who loves nothing more than enjoying a good bum scratch and spending quality time with her best friend. Masie shares Dottie’s affectionate nature and can live happily with children aged 10 and above.
These two have been inseparable since they were puppies, and they’re hoping to find a forever family that will welcome them both with open arms.
Dottie is a friendly and playful girl who is always up for a game of fetch with her favourite tennis ball while Maisie will play with any toy and just likes to hang out with her bestie. She’s happiest when she’s outdoors, chasing after her beloved toy or exploring the world around her.
Both Dottie and Maisie are housetrained, enjoy traveling in the car, and are happy to be left home alone for short periods, and while they enjoy meeting other dogs on walks, Dottie and Maisie would prefer to be the only pets in the home and would thrive with access to a garden although they would appreciate a gradual transition into their new routine. With their zest for life and unwavering bond, Dottie and Maisie are ready to make wonderful additions to a loving family’s home.
If you think you could provide a home for Dottie & Maisie or any of the 45 dogs currently available for rehoming, please contact us on 01506 873459. You can also follow us on Twitter @DT_WestCalder & Instagram @dogstrust_westcalder.
If you’d like to find out more about becoming a foster carer for some of our canine pals before they find their permanent forever home, then come down to our centre for a chat on Friday 3rd May for ‘Thank Dog It’s Fostering Friday’ between 2-3pm.
Dogs Trust West Calder is currently seeking new foster carers across the whole of the Lothians & Scottish Borders. If you could open your home to a dog in need, please email HFHWestCalder@dogstrust.org.uk for more info.
The rehoming centre is also recruiting volunteers for a variety of roles. Anyone interested should email Volunteer Coordinator at Garry.Lee@dogstrust.org.uk
