His aim is to get back to playing regularly for Hearts and return into the Scotland squad. Incidentally, he would be the oldest player every to play for Scotland if he gets one more cap.
He added: “I am already Hearts oldest player. It would be amazing to be part of that (Scotland in Euro 2024) and there is plenty to motivate me between now and then to train hard and keep myself in the best shape.
“Retirement is not something I am thinking about. It will happen one day but, at the moment, it is full focus to be ready to take my next opportunity.”
