Eyemouth Community Policing Team have been carrying out enquiries into reports of a number of vandalism incidents in the area which took place between Thursday 18 February and Friday 19 February, 2021,

A number of properties were damaged in the High Street area resulting in over £3,000 of damage being caused.

A 17-year-old man has been charged and a report is being sent to the Youth Justice Board.

Between Thursday 4 March and Friday 5 March, 2021, two incidents were reported to us in Haymons Cove and Market Place resulting in over £2,000 of damage being caused.

A 15-year-old boy has been charged and a report is being sent to the Youth Justice Board.

Community Policing Sergeant Paul Begley said: “We would like to thank the public for assisting with these enquiries and as a result of information provided to us we have been able to identify those involved.

Reducing anti-social behaviour is a local priority for us and we will do all we can to identify those who cause disruption in the community.”
